Account Activation

Account Activation - what is it?

SMS messages can trigger virtually any action or activation. Sending a simple text message from a mobile phone is very fast and easy, and thus it is widely accepted by the public. In addition to triggering a specific action, SMS can be used for micropayments, i.e. payments of small amounts that are immediately and automatically billed to the sender. The sender's phone number is always visible with SMS messages, so text messages are convenient for customer identification. Finally, SMS messages contain text; senders can be asked to send specific keywords or codes that trigger particular actions depending on the content of the message.

After a message has been sent from a mobile phone, mroute can deliver it in real-time to any application or server via the Internet.

Examples

  • Web account activation and payment: verify the senders identity by getting his phone number and make him pay at the same time for a specific service
  • Subscription: get the subscribers ID and at the same time his agreement to subscribe to a service. SMS payment can be made when sending the trigger/approval message or at regular intervals, by sending Premium MT messages (i.e. SMS invoiced at a higher rate than standard SMS messages) to the subscriber.

Related Products

  • mroute: connect your application or server to send and receive SMS messages.
  • mcharge: receive payments during the activation process.
