Viral Mobile Goodie by Macdonald's - 20.11.2008
McDonald’s wanted to increase loyalty & attract traffic to a viral-website.

The paper on your McDonald’s tray is where the campaign started: a fun message promoting the new “Swiss” burgers motivated people to download a free logo - the campaign-mascot holding a sign with a website’s address. In mobile marketing this is what we call immediate-call-to action: the user can interact with the campaign immediately, he doesn’t have to wait until he’s in front of his computer.
A logo is viral: other people see it on the phone and it can be shared. This one was also a constant reminder of the campaign’s website, where the viral interactivity continued: games, competitions, upload a picture of your face to a funny dancing-Swiss-man and send it to all your email-contacts, etc. By attracting more traffic to the website, the logo increased the campaign’s impact and ROI.
